Septic backup from a floor drain in the utility room in the basement, with the tub drain also backing up, affecting the basement utility room, hallway, hallway closet, bathroom, bedroom, and living room.

Solutions provided:

Moisture mapping was performed in the affected basement areas. Affected content was moved to an unaffected living room area, wiped with disinfectant, and placed on 6mil plastic. L-shaped vertical containment was erected in the basement living room, placed under negative pressure with an AFD odor-cleanse filter. Affected carpet and pad were removed, bagged, and taken out of the home through the basement bedroom egress window. The floor was sprayed with a disinfectant/deodorizer mixture, and dehumidification equipment (hydro) was set up.
