The customer experienced water damage in their basement, affecting the carpet and pad, and causing deterioration of the concrete subfloor, which resulted in broken concrete debris and dust.
We initiated the restoration process by setting up an Air Filtration Device (AFD) in the basement area with the affected carpet. Our team then cut and bagged all the damaged carpet and pad underlay. A significant portion of the pad had adhered to the concrete subfloor, which we meticulously removed using scrapers. We also removed all carpet tack-strips. The area was thoroughly cleaned of debris, followed by a general HEPA vacuuming. To ensure a healthy environment, we sprayed a botanical biocide on the subfloor and wiped it down with clean rags. Upon completion of the work, the AFD was pulled off site.
