The customer contacted us following a significant water intrusion caused by an upstairs toilet backup. This Category 2 water loss migrated through the structure, affecting the main level bathroom and bedroom, and seeped down into the basement gym area. The customer required professional mitigation to address saturated materials and prevent the spread of mold discovered in the shared wall between the bathroom and bedroom.
Alpha Omega Disaster Restoration initiated a multi-level mitigation and drying strategy. We deployed professional-grade LGR dehumidifiers and high-velocity air movers across the affected rooms to stabilize the environment. Our team performed structural investigations, including opening sections of the drywall to inspect wall studs and internal cavities for moisture. In the basement gym, we utilized industrial vacuums and specialized drying equipment to treat the flooring. We are currently monitoring drying progress and implementing targeted remediation for the mold found within the shared wall assemblies.
