The customer required professional remediation for water damage that had penetrated the wall assembly, affecting the baseboards, drywall, and internal insulation. The intrusion necessitated specialized removal of contaminated materials to prevent mold growth and structural compromise.
Technicians carefully pulled and cleaned the baseboards before performing a precise 2-foot cut to remove saturated drywall and insulation. Following the removal, the team vacuumed and swept the area, then applied IAQ antimicrobial spray to the exposed framing. The wood framing was then sanded, vacuumed, and deep-cleaned using Milgo-treated rags to ensure a sterile environment. Finally, industrial drying equipment was installed to stabilize the moisture levels within the wall cavity and subfloor.
