The customer contacted us to resolve elevated structural moisture and visible mold growth stemming from a water utility leak in their basement utility area. The water intrusion saturated structural wall framing studs, drywall baseboard tracks, and living area carpet padding, necessitating urgent moisture mapping, professional deconstruction, targeted HEPA vacuuming, and specialized antimicrobial surface decontamination to prevent the further spread of mold spores.
Our restoration team executed a precise water damage mitigation and mold decontamination protocol across the affected basement areas. Technicians dropped the compromised baseboards, meticulously de-nailed the bedroom baseboard units, and performed detailed HEPA vacuuming combined with an industrial antimicrobial wipe-down across all exposed drywall sections to eliminate active surface mold. We extracted trapped water from the carpets, removed the saturated, non-extractable living room carpet padding, and utilized digital diagnostic meters to continuously monitor the deeply embedded moisture levels.
