The customer contacted the restoration team because an upstairs plumbing leak or overflow had migrated downwards, causing significant water damage across multiple levels of the property. The water saturated the upstairs bathroom floor and leaked directly into the lower level, severely impacting the downstairs bathroom ceiling, the adjacent hallway.
The emergency mitigation team provided a comprehensive structural drying and monitoring solution. Technicians performed extensive moisture mapping across all surrounding areas to isolate the water migration paths. To address the source areas, affected baseboards were removed from the upstairs bathroom to prevent trapped moisture pockets. The team then deployed specialized equipment to dry out the structure, installing high-velocity Velo air movers, a commercial dehumidifier, and an Air Filtering Device (AFD) upstairs. Downstairs, a high-capacity dehumidifier and four Sahara air movers were installed to dry out the ceilings and drywall. Both invasive and non-invasive structural monitoring points were established to accurately track the drying progress and ensure a complete recovery.
