The homeowner experienced a water loss when an outdoor water spigot in the front yard failed while turning on a garden hose, causing water to flood and damage the basement gym and storage room.
Upon arrival, the team addressed a tripped breaker by rearranging power and repositioning the shut-off drying equipment. Technicians moved contents and gym equipment to facilitate drying, placing foam blocks and Styrofoam underlayment where necessary. Damaged MDF baseboards and trim were detached, and an access hole was cut in the ceiling to expose the broken spigot for upcoming plumbing repairs. Finally, the gym floor was lightly vacuumed, treated with an antimicrobial solution, and a commercial drying system was set up while tracking moisture readings.
