Job completed for HomeFront: Billings Housing Authority

Completion date: June 25, 2026

Location: Billings, MT

Why did the customer contact us?

The customer contacted us for emergency mitigation following a water leak in the kitchen that saturated the surrounding wall framing, ceiling cavity, and cabinetry, leading to severe wood rot and hidden structural moisture damage.

Solutions provided:

Our team initiated mitigation by carefully removing the water-damaged kitchen drywall to expose internal plumbing lines and assess the full extent of the rot within the wall framing and floor joists. To access hidden moisture pockets and facilitate thorough structural drying, we detached and removed the affected kitchen countertops and base cabinets. Furthermore, we opened up sections of the ceiling cavity to inspect exposed drain pipes, copper lines, and insulation, preparing the entire kitchen structure for targeted drying and subsequent reconstruction.
