Job completed for Chris B

Completion date: June 15, 2026

Location: Red Lodge, MT

Why did the customer contact us?

The customer contacted us after a supply line to an outdoor spigot burst, flooding the entire basement with approximately 7 inches of Category 1 clean water. The water intrusion affected several basement rooms, including the family room, two bedrooms, the bathroom, and the furnace room. Although the standing water had drained prior to our arrival, significant moisture remained trapped in the flooring, wall bases, and trim structures.

Solutions provided:

Although our standard protocol for Category 1 water losses is to dry clean carpets in place, we honored the homeowner's request to completely remove both the affected carpet and the pet-proof carpet padding. Our team marked moisture boundaries along the lower drywall walls using blue painter's tape to monitor dampness levels across the family room, bedrooms, and utility areas. We inspected exposed tack strips, concrete subfloors, wood framing, and doorway trim to verify water absorption and prepped the basement for full structural drying using high-capacity air movers and dehumidifiers.
