The customer contacted us after a dishwasher supply line failed, causing Category 1 clean water to flood the front kitchen area and leak through the floor structure into the basement bedroom ceiling below.
Our technicians performed an immediate site assessment to establish moisture monitoring points across the kitchen wood flooring, floor joists, and basement ceiling drywall. We deployed high-capacity air movers and specialized Firebird heating equipment to dry structural assemblies in place without unnecessary demolition. In the basement bedroom, we opened a targeted ceiling containment cavity sealed with plastic sheeting to facilitate focused drying around affected joists and drywall. Throughout the restoration process, we conducted daily moisture readings, pulled test screws once points reached dry standards, removed thermal drying units, and documented completed mitigation efforts using Docusketch for insurance verification.
