Job completed for Sojourn K

Completion date: June 8, 2026

Location: Billings, MT

Why did the customer contact us?

The customer contacted us due to a Category 2 water leak caused by a damaged kitchen faucet that sprayed water directly into the cabinet cavity whenever the faucet was in use. The water intrusion impacted the kitchen area, specifically causing localized damage to the sink cabinet base, the entire row of adjoining lower cabinets, the floor underneath, and the exterior drywall behind the cabinet assembly.

Solutions provided:

Our technician provided a detailed mitigation and mold remediation estimate to the homeowner and coordinated directly with the tenant to immediately cease sink usage to prevent further structural deterioration. To perform thorough remediation, we detached the sink, countertop, garbage disposal, and kitchen cabinet base. This revealed heavy mold growth and moisture saturation along the exposed drywall and subfloor. We utilized digital moisture meters to test and log high saturation levels on the exposed subfloor base. Additionally, our team established a plastic containment wall to isolate the kitchen containment zone, set up high-efficiency air scrubbers, and deployed commercial dehumidifiers and air movers to thoroughly dry the underlying structure.
