The customer contacted us for restoration and demolition work after discovering microbial growth on the backside of sheet vinyl flooring near the baseboard level and around headers on both sides, as well as concerns about microbial growth running past the containment barrier wall.

We completed demolition work by removing sections of sheet vinyl flooring and cutting baseboards to inspect and verify that microbial growth stayed within the containment boundary. We initiated cleaning procedures starting with a general HEPA vacuuming from top to bottom, followed by a thorough top-to-bottom wipe-down. We then applied Surface Shield to the exposed framework using a ULV fogger with two light mist spray coats and wiped down any overspray. Finally, we dismantled the initial negative air system, placed another AFD 500 in the decontamination chamber, and scheduled a final top-to-bottom HEPA vacuum.
