The property experienced significant water intrusion originating from a window well, impacting the bedroom and the adjacent landing/hallway. This issue was exacerbated by inadequate surrounding drainage and landscaping. Elevated moisture was detected in the bedroom closet behind the baseboard, with suspected microbial growth observed on previously removed drywall. Additionally, the landing/hallway showed elevated moisture and water damage in the baseboard and wood flooring, raising concerns about trapped moisture beneath the floor.
Our restoration team executed a thorough remediation process to address the water damage. This included removing all affected drywall along the bedroom's exterior wall at window height and carefully inspecting the drywall behind the closet baseboard. In the landing/hallway, the damaged baseboard was removed to allow for a comprehensive inspection of the underlying drywall for any microbial growth. The affected wood flooring, which exhibited significant water damage and trapped moisture, was completely removed. Extensive demolition and detailed moisture inspections were then conducted to ensure all non-restorable materials were identified and removed, effectively addressing suspected microbial growth, and ensuring all affected areas were properly dried and restored to industry standards.
