Completion date: September 19, 2026

Location: Billings, MT

Why did the customer contact us?

A Category 2 water loss affected the basement den after a window well filled with rainwater, allowing water to enter through the bottom of the window seal. The window framework was more significantly affected than the window ledge.

Solutions provided:

Contents were moved from the affected area to a furnace/storage room. The affected area was inspected and moisture mapped. Exterior wall baseboards were detached to inspect the wall assembly, and no microbial growth was found. Invasive moisture points were established at the sill plate and a non-invasive moisture point at the window ledge. A dehumidifier was staged to stabilize and dry the affected area. Follow-up monitoring showed steady drying progress, with equipment adjusted and the dehumidifier providing additional heat. On the final visit, all moisture points were dry, equipment was removed, and post-mitigation photographs were taken, leaving the area stabilized.
