The customer experienced significant roof damage and widespread mold growth, with a collapsed ceiling section being the most severe area in a non-living space. An inspection confirmed the extent of the damage and mold contamination.
The damaged ceiling was completely removed, followed by HEPA vacuum cleaning of the exposed joists. An IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) treatment was applied to the bottom side of the truss joist system. Since the affected area is a non-living space, air washing was performed to help remove airborne spores rather than completing a final cleaning. All outlined mitigation work has been completed, and the completed scope and estimate were documented for the homeowner’s FEMA funding submission.
